How long will it take to get my order?
We will email a jpg image as a proof to you within a couple of days of receiving your order. After you approve it, the production time varies between 5 - 10 business days. Once your order is shipped (by Priority Mail with a tracking number provided), it will take an average of an additional 2 - 5 days to arrive, depending on where you live. Very large orders can take longer to produce - please call or email for time estimate. Favors ordered during the busy reunion season (May - Sept) can take a little longer for the proof and the production, so please allow 3 - 4 weeks (proof, production, delivery time). If you need a rush order, don't hesitate to ask. Many times we can accommodate such requests. You are always welcome to call or email for a more accurate estimate of how long your order will take.
Can I see a "proof" of the item before you send it to me?
We always email you a jpg image as a "proof" of your order within a couple of days of receiving your emailed photo, so that you may check it for accuracy and see what it will look like. Please check your email often for your proof to avoid unnecessary delays. If you have not received your proof within 2 days, please contact us and we will resend it.
Our policy on proofs is to send only one, unless WE make a mistake in the spelling, etc., and then we will send a follow up proof to show that we have corrected our mistakes. Our proofs are generally not sent so that our customers can rearrange designs after seeing them, add new information, etc. - it is a courtesy so that you may be absolutely sure that we have spelled everything correctly, are using the right designs, and that we haven't made any mistakes. If we have done everything correctly, but you have picked up a mistake you made, or the date of your occasion has changed, etc., we will also make the necessary changes and email you a second proof. Sometimes, everything is correct, but a change still needs to be made. We will usually accommodate a reasonable request and email you a second proof.
Once the proof has been approved, the order is sent to production and the design, photo, words, spelling, etc cannot be altered after that point, so we urge you to please double-check and triple-check everything.
What is your lowest price?
Our lowest price is the lowest one that is stated. For example, on bookmarks, magnets, keyrings, etc. the lowest price is for 100 or more and doesn't decrease after that, whether you order 101, 501, or 5,001. This is the same wholesale price for our web site customers and for stores that sell our items (who usually double that price for retail).
Why is there a minimum on custom photo items?
It takes time to set up an order and would be too time-consuming to do just one. The exception to this is our jewelry items. You can order just one photo necklace or keychain.
Do you accept credit cards?
You can use your credit card to pay for your order via PayPal (no PayPal account necessary). After you have approved your proof, a PayPal invoice will be emailed to you, with a link to pay by credit card on their secure site. We also accept check or money orders made payable to Linda Kling.
What is your policy on returns?
Custom photo items cannot be returned. But since we email you a proof of the completed photo party favor before we fill your entire order, and only send it to production after we receive your approval, you can be sure there will be no mistakes on the items before you receive them. All orders are guaranteed for workmanship and accuracy. Call or email us if there is ever any problem with your order.
Can I have more than one photo on a bookmark design that only shows one photo?
Some of our designs are already set up for more than one photo. Many of our other designs can be adapted to hold a second photo if the bottom graphic is replaced with that photo. Let us know which design you'd like to place 2 photos on and we'll tell you if it's possible. There is no extra charge for a second photo, if it will fit within the chosen design.
Can I change the color scheme?
Some designs automatically give you a color choice (such as pink or blue for baby bookmarks). Most other bookmarks can be changed to the color scheme of your choice. Email us which design you're interested in and we'll let you know if that bookmark can be changed to a different color.
Can I mix and match borders, graphics, font, etc. to make up my order?
Yes, in many cases, you can combine a border from one design with a graphic from another on many of our designs and the sentiment from a third. Please email us to find out whether we can make the alterations you would like on the particular design you have chosen.
Can you print a message, poem, etc. on the other side of the bookmark?
No, we only print on one side of the bookmark. However, if you have a longer poem or message that you would like to fit on your bookmark, please let us know, and we may be able to incorporate it into the printed side.
Can I put a longer poem, message, saying on the bookmark?
A simple message, (such as name, date, event and even a short quote), looks and fits best on a bookmark. But we can often squeeze a longer poem or message onto a bookmark. If you would like to include a longer message on your bookmark, we recommend that you email it to us first with your design choice, before sending in your order. We will be able to tell you if it can fit and still be legible and look good within the design. Keep in mind, that if you need longer text personalization, we may have to decrease the size of the graphics or even remove them entirely to fit your message.
Can I get a bookmark without a photo?
Any bookmark design for any occasion can be made without using a photo, if desired. A graphic, logo or other picture can be substituted for the photo to create a personal design.

What sizes are available for these rectangle magnets?
Our ultra-thin rectangle photo magnets are available in our popular 2 x 3 inch (approximately business card size) and new 3 x 4 inch size. At this time, these are the only sizes available.
What are the ultra-thin magnets made of?
Our ultra-thin rectangle magnets are printed directly onto photographic coated magnets with a 16 ml thickness. They are lightweight and perfect for mailing, yet with superior quality.
Do I have to use one of your designs, or can I just use my photo with a caption?
You are more than welcome to use your own photo and we will add the text or personalization of your choice to the magnet.
Do you supply envelopes for the rectangle magnets?
No, although our ultra-thin rectangle magnets are perfect for mailing, we do not supply envelopes for the magnets.

What sizes or finishes are available for the photo cards?
Our photo cards, invitations and announcements are available in the popular 4 x 6 inch size and the impressive 5 x 7 size. The finishes on both these sizes is glossy.
What kind of paper are the photo cards printed on?
Both our 4 x 6 inch photo cards and 5 x 7 photo cards are actual photos. We use the finest archival quality photo paper, which is a substantial 10.5 ml thick. They are not printed on cardstock or cut to size. The 5 x 7 in a real photo enlargement.
I like a design that uses 3 of my photos and I need to use 4 photos (or it uses 4 and I need 5, etc.). Can I add one extra photo?
Since we have a staff of artists that created our original designs and these are not just templates, most of the time we can adapt a design to suit your needs. Occasionally, we have to minimize (or even delete) a graphic element to make an extra photo fit. If you want to add an extra photo, please email us your photos and requirements first and we will let you know if this will work with your chosen design. Many times, it is a good idea to choose the larger 5 x 7 inch photo card size, if you want to add an extra photo. Also, please allow a little extra time for your proof, since we will have to rework the design.
I like a design that uses 3 (2, 4, 5, etc.) photos, but would like to only use one. Is that possible?
Yes, most of the time it is. Once again, please email us your photo and the design you would like to use, and we will let you know for sure.
Do your photo cards and invitations come with envelopes?
Yes, we supply white envelopes (at no extra cost) for all our photo cards. The envelopes for the 4 x 6 inch cards are 4 1/8 inches x 6 1/8 inches. The envelopes for our 5 x 7 cards are 5 1/4 inches x 7 1/4 inches. We always include extra envelopes with your order. At this time, we only have white envelopes available.
Can I email my photo to you?
Yes! In fact, We no longer accept photos that are sent to us by regular mail.
What format photos do you accept?
Please email us either jpgs or pngs. Any photo from a smart phone would work.
Any guidelines for scanning a photo for favors or cards?
First, wipe the dust off your scanner and photo. Tiny specks of dust will show up in the scan. We can usually remove these, but occasionally a bit of dust on the face can obscure an important feature, which is hard to recreate.
Make sure you scan your photo or photos at full size and at least 300 dpi. If your photo is smaller that 4 x 6, or you have chosen one of our 5 x 7 photo cards with a large featured photo, then please scan your photos at a higher resolution, preferably 600 dpi. Most scanners have a default setting of 150 dpi. Check your scanner software for an advanced or professional mode to change the resolution. If you are still unsure how to do this, check the help file in your scanner software. Scanned photos should be saved as a high resolution jpg image file.
What if I would like to use an old photo and don't have a scanner?
Simply use your smart phone or digital camera to take a photograph of that old photo. Make sure you use a steady hand and don't shake (so it isn't blurry) and avoid glare.
Since I only want you to use part of a photo for my favors or cards, should I crop it before I email it to you?
Definitely NO! Please email us the entire photo. You can let us know that you want just the face, or the woman on the right, but please, please don't cut or crop the photo to show only what you want us to use. We will do that!
Will my photo fit into your design?
This is so important: please keep in mind the SHAPE of the opening for your photo within your chosen design. For example, if the design you have selected shows a horizontal rectangle frame for a photo, please don't send us a closeup of a vertical photo. If we tried to use it, it would end up cutting off the top of the featured person's head. Try to picture the shape (round, oval, heart, etc.) with your photo within it, in order to select photos appropriate for the design.
For best results, what kind of photos do you recommend?
Please email us clear, bright, and sharp photos, which will get wonderful results. Do not email us blurry, grainy or dark photos. We can slightly sharpen a blurry photo, but it will still be blurry. Many times we can fix a dark photo, but occasionally, when lightening a photo, some detail is lost. For great photo party favors or photo cards, choose a great photo.
Try to send a relatively close-up photo, with the subject's face unobstructed, with some background to frame the face, but please, not so close that part of the head or face is cut off. The top of the head should not be very close to the top of the photo. There should be some background on each side (it doesn't have to be a lot.) If possible, choose a photo with a simple, uncluttered background.
I'm ordering favors or cards with two people in the photo - any advice?
Yes, when sending a photo of a couple, it is important that their heads be close together in the picture. Side by side is usually best.
What if I don't know if the quality of the photo I want to email you is good enough for my order?
You are welcome to email us a photo you are considering using for you order and ask us whether or not it would be suitable.
I can't decide which photo would be best for the party favors or photo cards. Can I send you more than one photo and leave the choice with you?
Yes, whether you are ordering photo favors that require one photo or photo invitations that use 5 photos, you are more than welcome to send us extra photos. However, please indicate which of the photos you prefer. Many times our customer will send us two photos that are equally good. We then choose one that might have a slight (but not significant) edge, only to disappoint our customer who was hoping we would use the other one.
Any other advice for submitting photos?
When emailing us photos, please indicate all ordering information in your email - include what you're ordering, how many, the design name, the last possible date you need it by, the personalization desired, name & shipping address, day and evening phone numbers (in case we have any questions) and whether you prefer to use PayPal for your order or mail a check/money order (made payable to Linda Kling).
If your photo contains more than one person, please indicate the person or persons meant for the party favor. If you send us a photo that contains a head-to-toe subject, we will focus on capturing the head and shoulders of the person, unless you specifically request a full-body shot.
Can I email you a photo taken by a professional photographer or photography studio?
If you want to use a photo that was taken by a professional photographer, you must FIRST get written permission from the photographer or studio. Photos taken by professional photographers are copyright protected, and cannot be used without permission. The good news is that most photographers are more than happy to give you permission. Many of them even have preprinted permission forms.
Can I send you a link to a photo on a website to use?
Yes, but ONLY if you own the rights to that photo or have written permission to use
I would like to reorder extra photo favors or photo cards. Can I do that?
Yes! In fact, we get so many requests for reorders that we now keep your order on file. You do not have to email us your photo or order information again. If it has been more than a month since you ordered, however, please either email us your shipping address again or let us know the date of your original order (so we can look it up). There is no minimum on reorders (you can order just 3 if you wish). We will give you the same volume rate of your original order. For example, if you originally ordered 100 bookmarks at our discounted price of $1.75 each, and you wanted to reorder 20 extra of the same bookmarks, you would not be charged the usual $2.25 each price for 20 bookmarks, but the volume price of $1.75 each for 100 bookmarks. Of course, standard shipping costs still apply.
I'm looking for something totally different than the designs shown on your web site. Can you create a brand new design for me?
You are welcome to interchange borders, graphics, fonts, sentiments etc. to adapt many of our current designs. We can even (in most cases) change the color scheme of the design to fit your event, alter it in other minor ways and sometimes add a special graphic. Please email us to find out whether we can make the alterations you would like on your design. But please note, we can only modify an existing design - we don't create custom designs from scratch for one order. But keep checking back with us. We are always adding new designs to our online catalog. And if you have a suggestion, we'll pass it along to our artists, who just might incorporate it into future items.
Can I change the message on the bookmark, 2x3 magnet, etc. or do I have to use the one on the web site sample?
Messages on our sample photo party favors are only suggestions. You may change the wording to create your own, personal message. Look at the sample text used in the design of your choice as a guideline to how much text can be used. Please list all text you will be using on your favor. For example, if you want "thank you for coming to my party!" that appears printed on a 2x3 magnet sample, you must list it on your order, or we will assume you don't want it. We only print the words you put down for personalization.
Can I add my child's favorite cartoon character to a bookmark, magnet, etc.?
No, we don't reproduce licensed items. Cartoon characters and other similar pictures are owned by the companies that created them. Certain business pay a licensing fee for the right to reproduce their images. But since we don't have a license to print these things, we must turn down those requests.
