Mushroom Cheese Appetizers

2 cups biscuit baking mix (such as Bisquick)
   1/2 cup cold water
   1/4 pound bulk pork sausage
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
3/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
35 medium mushrooms (about 1 pound)
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces)
   Paprika

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease rectangle pan, 13x9 inches. Mix baking mix and water until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Press in pan with floured hands. Cook and stir sausage in skillet until brown; drain. Mix sausage, onions and mayonnaise. Remove stems from mushrooms. Finely chop stems; stir into sausage mixture. Fill mushroom caps with mushroom-sausage mixture. Place mushrooms in rows on dough in pan; sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Cover pan loosely with aluminum foil. Bake 20 minutes; remove foil. Bake until cheese is bubbly, 5 to 10 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Refrigerate any remaining appetizers.
